Flicktoon Turns Silent Films into Synchronized Webtoons

Flicktoon selects public-domain silent films, redraws them as webtoon panels, and adds new dialogue rather than reproducing the films directly. Its current listing includes one available episode of Charles Chaplin’s The Immigrant (1917), while Nosferatu (1922) is planned as a roughly 20-episode adaptation. The site also exposes source-video entries, including runtimes, and says those videos are loaded from YouTube. A later participation model would allow creators to add alternate dialogue and sound-effect layers over the same panels.
