Hairpin: Pace Notes for Roads You Haven’t Driven

hairpin.racing Observed source
Editorial interest 82/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

Hairpin turns the geometry of unfamiliar mountain roads into spoken rally-style pace notes for a phone.

Field notes

Users can choose points by place search, map pin, or coordinates, then select among connecting roads. The system derives calls from curve radius, length, and directional changes in open mapping data, grading corners from hairpins to wide-open sixes. A sample Pretoro–Blockhaus route contains 139 corners across 21.3 km. Calls are displayed and spoken with configurable lead distance, pace, and voice, and the site says generated routes continue working without a signal.
