Nearhand, a shelf at the edge of your Mac
Nearhand parks files, screenshots, clipboard items, and captures at the edge of the screen so you can retrieve, convert, annotate, record, or send them later.
Field notes
The app uses an edge-triggered shelf as an intermediate file destination: items are copied onto it, survive app switching and restarts, and can later be dragged into Finder, upload fields, chats, or terminals. Its capture tools include scrolling screenshots, screen video with local WebVTT transcription, and version-preserving annotation. The page also describes a second clipboard-history tab containing the last 50 copies and an MCP connection for Claude.
