Project Theta treats the language model as one component in a persistent system rather than as a standalone prompt-response test. Its simulated world uses deterministic locations, cues, resources, hazards, other agents, and delayed consequences, while a synthetic body supplies noisy private signals. The displayed pilot passed its progression gate, but it used one matched seed; the site says a five-seed replication, rather than additional tuning, will determine the next decision.
