Unguided Routes: Bike Touring Without the Tour Group
A self-guided cycling resource that maps classic routes into day-by-day rides with places to eat, sleep, repair bikes, and detour.
Field notes
The project organizes established cycling corridors into fixed daily plans rather than providing turn-by-turn navigation. Its live Alsace route covers 146 kilometres between Marlenheim and Thann, divided across five easy-to-moderate days and 17 towns, with four excursions designed to loop back to the main line. The page also identifies data sources including DATAtourisme, Alsace à Vélo, Google, and OpenStreetMap. Three additional routes are listed as coming soon.
