BasementAtlas turns a famously local, anxious category of household problem—damp, mould, drainage, radon, ventilation, foundations—into a 30-language knowledge project. Its promise is less glamorous than most new websites, but unusually concrete: preserve what happened, what was tried, and whether it worked across borders.
