The project models capabilities as software genes, assigning each one a digest, source location, and evidence for its presence. Its lineage graph is intended to connect forks, rewrites, and ports that Git does not explicitly relate, while mutation records compare measures such as latency, coverage, complexity, or compatibility. The homepage illustrates the model through an eight-project family and a browser piano tutor described as having four hundred commits.
