Lake Erie Conditions, Without the Guesswork
A public dashboard combining live buoy readings, shore cameras, marine forecasts, and historical lake data for the Erie shoreline.
Field notes
The dashboard combines near-shore buoy telemetry with camera imagery and National Weather Service marine forecasts, rather than presenting a forecast alone. Its visible measurement set includes turbidity, significant and maximum wave height, dominant wave period and direction, wind, pressure, humidity, and temperatures. Six camera locations span beaches, boat launches, marinas, and an access point, while historical controls extend from 24-hour views to 30-day graphs.
