Nasho Run: a laser-surveyed road in Assetto Corsa
A 35.15-kilometre virtual drive through Sydney’s Royal National Park, recreated from road geometry and 1-metre LiDAR data.
Field notes
The route runs from Loftus to the Bald Hill carpark and is described as a surveyed reconstruction rather than a hand-modelled approximation. Its geometry uses 18,004 centreline points at 2-metre spacing, a 1-metre LiDAR elevation grid covering 118 tiles, and photogrammetry of Hawkesbury sandstone. The associated club separates competitive and social driving: official monthly times use one selected car and a clean timed layout, while free-roam sessions gather drivers at the car park for group cruises.
