The project uses a personal essay as its entry point, then divides its proposed work into research, advance planning, and testimony. Its Spanish focus is practical as well as cultural: the planned guide is meant to examine funeral options, prices, contractual obligations, and sales pressure. The page also carries the author’s account of a father’s written wishes and a tree planted in memory of his sister at her former school.
