The proposed hardware embeds a flat Halbach permanent-magnet array beneath the mattress and keeps the patient in the same position for each acquisition. SomniScan describes a working field of roughly 64 mT, external reference sensing, and active cancellation to handle electromagnetic noise without a shielded room.
