Crane remains a working wooden tender in summer and is used as a small floating lodging base in spring. The charter is limited to one group of four to six, with three staterooms and crew quarters in the foc’sle. The listed itinerary combines protected-water stays near Yakutat with shore activities including Malaspina Glacier hikes and Harlequin Lake kayaking; Situk steelhead guiding is described as optional and separate.
