vidyut.space Observed source

Vidyut is developing lightweight GaN-based power-processing and control units for Hall-effect electric-propulsion thrusters.

Landing page captured for the 2026-08-29 issue.

Field notes

The proposed PPCU uses one discharge stage across three target power classes, from 50–500 W through 5 kW-plus, rather than treating each thruster application as a separate electronics project. The site says its silicon ZVZCS breadboard is running, while the GaN engineering model remains in design. Planned gates include vacuum-load, thermal-vacuum, EMI, arc-survival, and ignition-transient testing before a thruster-coupled vacuum campaign.
