The utility separates regenerable Xcode build output from Swift Package checkouts that would need to be fetched again, including the shared cache in ~/Library/Caches. Its scan also treats simulator devices differently from cleanable simulator data: deleting a device removes the whole device, while other categories can be reviewed more selectively. The page says deletion is verified by measuring folders afterward and reports when a running application prevented a complete cleanup.
