Mirador Gives UniFi Protect a Permanent Mac Window
A native macOS camera wall for UniFi Protect, designed for always-on viewing without desk-side logins, cloud relay, or subscriptions.
Field notes
Setup begins in UniFi Protect’s Settings → Control Plane → Integrations area, where the operator creates an API key. Mirador then stores that key in the macOS Keychain and uses RTSPS for local live video, with hardware decoding claimed for formats including H.265 and AV1. Camera selections can differ by Mac, while a passcode keeps shared-desk layouts from being casually changed. The page describes a 14-day, no-card trial, but also says the product is launching soon.
