Othersight uses local-network discovery rather than an internet relay: both participants approve Camera and Local Network access, confirm the detected partner, and activate the swap on both phones. The viewing mode is designed for phone-VR goggles, with stereoscopic output and calibration for distortion and eye spacing. A solo Test mode is available, while the full experience requires two iPhones and two pairs of goggles; the site also describes a motion-responsive comfort vignette.
