PayeRewind uses copied text from HMRC’s PAYE Income Tax history page as its input, extracting each employment’s taxable income, tax paid, and tax code without requiring photographs or manual entry. It then separates the whole-year liability from the amount deducted under the recorded codes, covering tax years from 2016/17 to 2026/27. The page specifically flags second-job codes, non-cumulative codes, K codes, stale earnings estimates, allowance tapering, and mid-year recoding as sources of discrepancy.
