Field notes
Newsheen uses an ESP32-S3 puck with eight addressable LEDs, a button, native USB-C, and expansion headers inside a translucent silicone lamp. Its browser flasher writes complete .bin images at offset 0x0 and verifies published hashes before writing. Optional hardware includes a Seeed Wio-SX1262 for 915 MHz radio work, while other documented builds use an I²S microphone, IR receiver, or MAX98357A amplifier and speaker.
