FlightCrewDose, the cosmic-radiation logbook for flight crews
A browser-based calculator estimates galactic cosmic-radiation dose for flights, then tracks cumulative exposure in a local crew logbook.
Field notes
The calculator combines route, date, altitude, block time, and monthly frequency to model exposure, then presents the result in microsieverts alongside comparisons such as chest-radiograph and background-dose benchmarks. A roster parser supports review before selected flights enter the local logbook, which can be exported as CSV. The page says its CARI-7-based estimates were checked against reference flights within ±0.7%, while warning that solar-particle events and variable cruise profiles are outside the model.
