Design Knockout Turns Graphic Design Into a House Cup
A weekly design competition where anonymous artisans submit themed plates, an industry jury awards Ink, and four color-coded houses compete for the Masthead.
Field notes
The opening brief sets a 7 × 10 inch, 300 DPI constraint and asks participants to rebuild a favorite band’s identity through Bauhaus geometry, primary colors, and strict typography. Entries go to a blind floor under fake names, then the Press assigns Ink to individual artisans and their Cyan, Key, Magenta, or Yellow house. The extract shows all four houses at zero Ink, so the judging and submission activity are not yet visible here.
