The toolkit is organized around four specialist areas rather than a single general-purpose map interface. Its pages expose underlying conventions and calculations, including UTM series terms, MGRS zone and square construction, Tissot distortion overlays, and projection-specific latitude tables. Reference material extends beyond calculators: the PLSS section offers a KML layer, while the State Plane atlas provides FIPS/EPSG identifiers and a dated SPCS83-to-SPCS2022 crosswalk. The homepage states that processing occurs in the browser and nothing is stored.
