Moe Keeps Dictation on the Mac
A free macOS dictation app that types into any application, connects to an AI voice agent, and records meeting notes locally.
Field notes
Moe combines cursor-level dictation with a desktop agent and a meeting mode that writes speaker-separated notes to a folder on the Mac. The page says speech recognition runs offline on Apple silicon, while memory and vocabulary remain editable Markdown or text files. The agent can connect to Claude, ChatGPT, an API key, or a local model, and must show outgoing messages or email for confirmation. The free download currently requires macOS 26 on Apple silicon and manual approval because it is not yet Apple-signed.
