OS/7 keeps Ubuntu’s package and system conventions while changing the interactive administrator experience to PowerShell 7.6; bash remains in place for cron, systemd, dpkg hooks, and Intune compliance scripts. Its update model applies changes to a cloned ZFS environment, leaving the prior boot entry available for rollback. The project describes a 4.4 MB native, text-mode installer designed to run over serial consoles as well as on desktops.
