Polygelato, the multilingual word loop
A language-learning tool that shows one word across several languages, surfaces linguistic connections, and turns lookups into spaced-repetition study.
Field notes
The workflow begins with a chosen language set rather than a source-target pair: one lookup fills the set, then optional etymology reveals cognates, borrowings, roots, false friends, or unrelated terms. Saved entries feed a searchable wordbank and four spaced-repetition modes. The homepage lists 19 available languages, up to 12 languages side by side, and a free allowance of 100 fresh lookups per month; longer phrases and full sentences are assigned to the planned Double Scoop tier.
