Field notes
The project uses an episode-based structure to connect family records with the places and occupations surrounding them, including coaching trade, agriculture, railway work and migration by ship. Its evidence layer includes a source index, record-room material, historical maps, image records and links to embarkation ledgers and contemporary accounts. The text explicitly separates secure relationships from plausible but unproved candidates, giving the archive a visible research method rather than presenting every genealogical inference as settled fact.
