The Underground Raver, Plate XCIV
A faux natural-history plate documenting the habits, habitat, and feeding cycle of an underground raver.
Field notes
The project borrows the apparatus of a museum plate: Latin binomial, numbered figures, specimen measurements, range history, and a conservation-status line that reads “not extinct. Somehow.” Its historical timeline runs from the Second Summer of Love through Castlemorton and the 1994 legislation to an indoor range of one settee. The ten observations are supplied by the specimen himself, while the adoption certificate is generated locally on screen rather than mailed.
