The project organizes historical material into eight continental tracks on a common axis spanning from the fourth millennium BCE to the present. A year-level cross-section can reveal concurrent events on other continents, while a separate map view shows changing borders across 49 historical slices. The site also describes event cards sourced from Wikipedia, dynasty and ruler views, and five recall exercises using FSRS spaced repetition.
