Echo keeps the notes local—and explains its guesses
An open-source note-taking tool that extracts tasks, deadlines, vocabulary, and related notes while running entirely on the user's machine.
Field notes
Echo stores its shell, database, and notes on the user's machine, with no account, server, environment file, or API key required for the documented web setup. The interface combines literal and meaning-based search, extracts tasks from ordinary sentences, and displays the reasons behind filing and related-note suggestions. The homepage reports 21 ms searches across 10,000 notes, while the semantic model is downloaded only when meaning-based search is first used.
