ClearFund and the Five-Entry Ledger You Can Break
A WordPress plugin that gives nonprofits a public, receipt-backed view of donations, expenses, category balances, and a tamper-evident ledger.
Field notes
The workflow separates incoming funds from expense approval: donations can arrive through GiveWP or MissionWP, while cash, bank transfers, and grants are entered manually. Staff attach photographed receipts from their phones, and approved expenses become visible on the public dashboard. The homepage also includes a browser-side integrity test built around five sample entries and an HMAC-SHA256 chain; changing an amount leaves a downstream break rather than silently restoring the record.
