LiveDesk registers a machine with a curl-based installer and a setup code generated in its console, then exposes that machine’s existing desktop through a browser. The remote computer must already be logged in and running a desktop; a headless VPS therefore needs a desktop environment first. Its container mode instead supplies a separate Linux desktop, with the page stating that the container can be deleted along with the work performed inside it.
