PHYTHAGRAM: Words as Chords
An interactive musical-linguistic terminal that converts words into cipher values, chords, melodies, and playable instrument voicings.
Field notes
The tool maps letters through a cipher and harmonic structure, presenting each word as a sequence of musical nodes joined across word boundaries. Its output can be rendered as chords, melody, or both, with piano and guitar voicing controls. Export formats include Type-0 MIDI, part-wise MusicXML, text, guitar chord diagrams, and a browser print view for PDF. Voice-leading settings cover two through six voices and can prohibit parallel fifths and octaves.
