Real Fast, Real Mad: A Road-Death Atlas
An interactive black-and-white atlas showing road deaths by continent, region, and country, alongside the physics and decisions that make speed dangerous.
Field notes
The atlas separates raw road-death totals from population-adjusted risk, allowing readers to see why the largest toll and the most dangerous individual exposure are not the same measure. Its country view covers 195 countries and identifies Norway at 1.5 deaths per 100,000 people versus Guinea at 37.4 in the visible example. The page also supplies a downloadable CSV and names its principal sources, including WHO, the World Bank, NHTSA, the European Commission, and MoRTH.
