TreeScribe, the orchard field notebook
A mobile app for recording tree-crop breeding and orchard data, including traits, notes, photos, harvest records, and survey points.
Field notes
The described workflow begins with importing trial layouts, plant identities, and trait definitions from a breeding program’s database, then captures observations in the field on iOS or Android. TreeScribe says those records remain usable offline and sync when connectivity returns. The page also describes an RTK GNSS mode for centimeter-level positioning and automatic location of GPS-tagged plants, with data stored in Postgres databases compatible with BrAPI.
