Understudy ingests a recording once, then generates demos through a JSON POST containing a recording ID and prospect context. The response includes the resulting URL, substitution rules, and spans that fell below the stated 0.95 confidence threshold and were left unchanged. The site also describes a completion webhook carrying the demo ID and the viewer’s stopping step. Captures are currently limited to under twenty minutes, according to the page, while generated demos default to a 30-day expiry.
