A dark-fantasy interactive book where readers investigate, make irreversible choices, and eventually speak with its characters.
Field notes
The project combines a branching narrative with a conventional page-based reading interface, retaining investigation elements from text RPGs and music and illustrations associated with visual novels. Its story framework includes an inquisitor, a suspected witch, the Empire, and permanently closing choices. The site also maintains dated development notes, including the change from the working title “Book Stories: The Beginning” and the addition of character conversation scenes.
