Cinder: the tower that asks what you’re willing to burn

cindertower.com Observed source
Editorial interest 87/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A Korean-language browser game sends an amnesiac climber up a 15-floor tower with one ember, turn-based combat, merchants, equipment, and permanent memories.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-02 issue.

Field notes

Cinder uses an ember as both the player’s central resource and the limit of what can be seen while climbing. Combat is turn-based, with physical or magical damage determined by the relationship between attack and spell power, and equipment can alter speed, defense, or spell strength. Gold resets when a run ends, while memories recovered from ancient objects remain after defeat. A wall can hold one player-written line per floor, creating a persistent trail for later climbers.
