Field notes

drift uses a true-black overlay rather than display sleep, allowing the Mac to remain awake while builds, downloads, SSH sessions, renders, and agents continue. Its status language is deliberately constrained: orange marks ordinary progress or completion, while teal is reserved for an agent blocked on a question and identifies the tool. The shortcut ⇧⌘L covers or uncovers every display, and the timer continues counting upward after the planned break ends.
