The interface records a visitor’s presence through cursor movement and scrolling while displaying signal strength, session age, trace status, and a 90-second countdown. Its stated three-part protocol—open, witness, close—gives artists control over duration, context, and ending. The open call requests an artwork file, a 50–100 word artwork statement, time-zone and duration preferences, accessibility details, and rights information; selected work is said to leave the live web after its interval.
