The project separates its commercial and research tracks: the team says it builds agentic AI systems and real-time voice infrastructure for paying customers, using that work to fund the memorial-AI investigation. Its research agenda currently includes detecting synthetic voice signals and designing a blind test for whether a modelled presence is recognisable to people who knew the deceased.
