Satellite Inference Wants to Compute Where Space Data Begins
A proposed low-Earth-orbit computing node intended to filter, classify, compress, and prioritize satellite data before it reaches the ground.
Field notes
The proposed architecture moves inference into orbit: workloads are scheduled against sunlight, battery state, radiator capacity, and communications contact windows, while a radiation-aware runtime is intended to checkpoint and recover state. The page sets a 10 kW payload-input target, a 12–15 kW total-load range, and a 500–600 km LEO baseline. Its Rev C render is explicitly architectural rather than manufacturing geometry, leaving structure, interfaces, and final configuration open.
