VinylDesk: a pocket toolkit for record people
A three-part suite for identifying records, preparing DJ sets, pricing vinyl for sale, and eventually organizing a personal collection.
Field notes
The suite divides its workflow into DJ, Sales, and Collector applications rather than treating vinyl as a single cataloging problem. The DJ path accepts either a label scan or a 15-second audio sample and returns BPM, key, and crate-based harmonic suggestions. The Sales path works from label and sleeve photographs, combines a condition read with a seller-set price, and produces a shelf label containing a sold-item QR code. The Collector application remains in development.
