Café Venezuela maps coffee from farm to roaster
An offline-first phone app for Venezuelan coffee producers to map plots, record harvests, generate lot QR codes, and offer traceable coffee directly to roasters.
Field notes
The app is organized around farm parcels rather than generic inventory records: a producer walks a boundary with GPS, saves the route offline, and receives a calculated area plus a GeoJSON export. The demonstration parcel in Sanare, Lara contains six points and covers 3.84 hectares; a sample Geisha lot is listed at 1,420 metres with an SCA score of 91.50. Harvest, lot, tasting, and QR records are presented as available, while payroll, expenses, nursery, inventory, and margin tools are marked as in progress.
