Drift asks for a boating location and vessel class before translating weather data into Flat, Calm, Sporty, or Poor conditions. Its rules account for both sustained and gust wind, compare wave period with wave height, and can override the rating for short-period waves. A Custom profile exposes thresholds for wind, waves, precipitation, and alerts, while the interface also includes model-comparison confidence, tides, advisories, and a six-day outlook.
