Scroll Test: A Mouse-Wheel Checkup
A browser-based diagnostic that measures scroll speed, reverse jumps, jitter, and missing or duplicated wheel events.
Field notes
The test samples browser wheel events while the user scrolls inside a designated area, then compares direction, event counts, DeltaY ranges, and running movement totals. Four run lengths are available, from 15 to 90 seconds, and the page warns that reversing direction introduces noise. The dashboard also exposes DeltaMode—pixels, lines, or pages—so the raw measurements can be interpreted in browser terms rather than treated as a simple pass/fail reading.
