Veksle: the Navisworks-to-IFC escape hatch

A browser converter that turns Navisworks .NWD and .NWC files into IFC4 models without requiring Navisworks or an installation.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-03 issue.

Field notes

The workflow accepts a single .nwd or .nwc upload, detects model units by default, and returns an IFC4 Design Transfer file with an in-browser model preview. The page specifies a 2 GB limit and says the output preserves triangulated geometry and Navisworks properties through IfcBuildingElementProxy elements. That makes the result a coordination and viewing model rather than a semantically re-authored BIM model. The page also states that files are deleted after conversion.
