Whemma, the warmer-colder parking beacon
A Bluetooth beacon system for finding a parked car, bicycle, boat, or other tagged object without pretending to know its exact direction.
Field notes
The workflow begins by holding a beacon against the phone, which lets Whemma identify the tagged object without making the user choose among identical devices. The page’s interface example tracks objects such as “The Volvo,” “Bakfiets,” and “De Zeemeeuw,” showing rough distances and direction-of-travel feedback rather than a map arrow. It claims the screen turns green below two metres, and illustrates a completed search lasting 1 minute 12 seconds.
