Agentic Resources: A Field Guide to ARD
An independent reference for Agentic Resource Discovery, with publishing guidance, a browser-based manifest validator, adoption measurements, and a directory of verified publishers.
Field notes
ARD is presented as a discovery layer between an agent and the tools it might call: publishers host a manifest, registries index it, and clients receive ranked results from natural-language queries. The page distinguishes ARD’s “which capability should I use?” role from MCP’s “how do I call this tool?” role. Its adoption snapshot probes 50 domains and reports that only six serve the newer /.well-known/ard.json path, while all found publishers still serve /.well-known/ai-catalog.json.
