Formação Design Brasil maps the country’s design education system
A public research platform charts where Brazilian design courses are located, how their supply has changed, who studies them, and how institutions perform.
Field notes
The platform compares census, assessment, and student-related material without combining unlike populations into a single series. Its 2009–2024 chart separates bachelor’s and technological programs: technological courses rise from 211 to 599, while bachelor’s courses move from 290 to 316. The territorial view also records a methodological boundary, leaving 278 distance-learning courses outside the state map because the underlying census does not assign them a federation unit.
