Foliom: The manuscript compliance pass before submission
Foliom converts a Word manuscript into journal-formatted PDFs and reports how the file matches a publisher's requirements.
Field notes
Foliom separates document inspection from typesetting: it reads the .docx structure, classifies paragraphs, checks the recovered structure against the source, and then compiles a target-specific PDF. Its example uses a 5,592-word manuscript across 12 targets and reports 30 checks in one IEEE-conference run. The page also says every source paragraph is accounted for exactly once before typesetting, while unavailable checks are recorded as skips rather than passes.
