NorthYak, with receipts
An app-market intelligence inspector that tracks rankings, search results, and reviews across storefronts, while labeling how each number was produced.
Field notes
The visible inspector combines keyword, storefront, and device selections with ranked App Store results. Its provenance system separates values fetched from Apple from deterministic calculations, estimated ranges, modelled figures, and opinions inferred by Yak. The page says NorthYak covers a million apps across 54 storefronts, and shows sample searches for sleep trackers, habit trackers, budget planners, and language-learning apps. It also explains that changing the displayed row count alters only the returned slice, not the metrics.
